James Street is a 167-bedroom hotel in Liverpool, with a public bar and restaurant, adjacent to the Albert Dock, Three Graces and Grade II-listed Albion House by Richard Norman Shaw. The proposal completes a fragmented urban block, reinstating the bold corner to James Street along the historic waterfront. The cast concrete facade resonates with the grand masonry architecture of the area by using a playful array of textures and finishes.
