All innovation is informed by the past. The Power Hall is a permanent exhibition reframing the museum’s collection of historic engines, portraying the dynamic relationship with humans and technology to give a sense of awe and wonder at the once unimaginable creations. A collection of refined, monumental objects constructed of blackened and milled surfaces have been designed to improve the legibility of the space and curatorial messages. We have strategically placed wayfinding and interpretation devices through visitor route through the hall, and a central orientation point with bespoke illuminated signage acts as an entrance moment and a starting point for tours.
