Reimagining the UK’s largest collection of Grade I-listed buildings, the project embraced a design approach that balances heritage with bold, contemporary ideas. Independent businesses are supported through elevated shopfronts and signage, seamlessly integrated into a vibrant new public realm. Interiors have been reconfigured to create modern, flexible workspaces complemented by inviting shared social hubs that foster collaboration and community. Throughout the process, MUTT worked closely with the Grade I-listed fabric and numerous stakeholders, ensuring every improvement is sensitive to its historic context.
